Conn Brown Fishing Pier and Park

The city of Aransas Pass is surrounded by some of the best fishing available on the Texas Coast.   The warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico keep this bay and wetland system thriving. Conn Brown Harbor Point Park pier offers fishing access by pier and also several bulkheads. Conn Brown Harbor can be accessed from Business Hwy 35 or from State Highway 361. If coming from Padre Island go through Port Aransas and cross to the mainland by the ferry operated by the State of Texas.  It is free of charge and is a short ride in the off season when traffic is not backed up.  During spring break and peak summer hours the line for the ferry can be fairly long .

Conn Brown Harbor pier is situated to take advantage of the deep channels connecting to Redfish Bay and the Aransas Channel. Fishing is excellent in summer evenings and mornings. In the winter the pier is protected from the North wind and provides access to fish gathered in the deep channels. The pier is lighted and there is no charge to fish here. This is a well maintained park with plenty of parking area, boat ramps and fishing access. The park is a also a good spot to buy live shrimp, perch, mullet and other baits. If you like to catch your own bait, throwing a cast net can be productive here also.
